Capegate Craft Beer and Wine Festival

Capegate Craft Beer and Wine Festival

Capegate Shopping Centre, situated in the Northern Suburbs of Cape Town will be hosting their 8th annual wine festival on 31 August and 1 September 2018. Due to an increased demand from visitors, the festival will be moved to bigger premises within Capegate and – for the first time – will include local craft beer breweries.

For another consecutive year, the Centre will partner with The Pebbles Project – a NPO working hard to enrich the lives of disadvantaged children and families in the Winelands farming communities. Pebbles focuses on education, health, nutrition, community and protection, and will be raising funds at the festival in order to continuously deliver the services that they offer.

The festival plays host to over 20 wineries and craft beer breweries based in the Western Cape – offering ticket holders the opportunity to taste from all the exhibitors as well as purchase their most loved cultivar and / or brew.

Visitors can expect food trucks to keep hungry tummies at bay, as well as live music and of course some of South Africa’s best wine farms all in one curated space.

When The festival will be open on Friday 31 August from 17h00 – 21h00 and Saturday 1 September, from 13h00 – 18h00 Tickets Tickets can be bought at Webtickets for R75; alternatively, R90 at the door and includes a take-home wine glass and 20 tastings in the form of a booklet. Where The 2018 Capegate Craft Beer & Wine Festival will be hosted at Entrance 6 (undercover parking)

How do you taste? With your entry ticket, you will receive a coupon booklet, which contains 20 tasting coupons. You can buy more once they’re finished or a bottle of wine for on-premise consumption once you’ve identified the one (or many) wine(s) you love! Do you offer a taxi service? Capegate does not promote drinking and driving and have thus partnered with UBER again this year. The promo code CGWineAndBeerFest gets you R50 off your first UBER ride. Do you offer card facilities? Yes, however they encourage ticket holders to bring cash for ease of transactions.
