With concert performances presented in wine estates, restaurants and the historic landmark NG Church in centre of the village, this collaborative effort by outstanding musicians will feature an intimate line-up of a broad range of classic music – from piano recitals, opera, cabaret and jazz.
Celebrated for its scenic splendour and awe-inspiring backdrops, a magnificent experience awaits enthusiasts in the Franschhoek Valley when the annual Classic Music Festival returns in the last weekend of October this year. Artists, musicians and visitors alike are not immune to the inspiring experiences that Franschhoek has to offer, and this year’s weekend experience promises much to enjoy.
For many years Christopher Duigan’s Music Revival has delighted classical music fans with performances by the best musicians in the country. This year’s Marriott Classic Music Festival in Franschhoek continues that tradition of excellence. Says festival producer, Duigan: “We strive to include a range of musical styles and genres in the concerts but always with the emphasis on happy working relationships; where the friendship off the stage leads to great enthusiasm, brought together by mutual love of music, on stage.”
