On Wednesday 16 November, a refreshing initiative to aid school children experiencing daily emotional challenges will take the form of the Most Meaningful Tea in Town event, hosted by Community Keepers (https://communitykeepers.org).

Community Keepers is a non-profit organisation that heads school-based programmes in Cape Town and Stellenbosch where social and psychological professionals are employed to support positive growth in schools.

The Most Meaningful Tea in Town aims to create greater awareness of the ongoing need for psychological support for school children. Community Keepers employ professionals to also help equip teachers, parents and guardians with the skills and information they need to be more effective in their roles.

One hundred percent of the event’s proceeds, including tickets purchased by the organisers, sponsors and partners will go toward sustaining Community Keepers’ offices at schools.

By purchasing a ticket to the event, guests will not only invest in children’s futures, but also look forward to a range of artisan treats, gourmet coffee and a delicious light lunch by chef, Stephan Fraser; creative foodie talks lead by Masterchef SA finalist, Jade de Waal; live entertainment by Bottomless Coffee Band, and don’t forget the bubbly! Elements of beauty and décor will be incorporated into the morning session, all to be enjoyed under a Bedouin tent on the lawns of Lanzerac wine estate.

Opportunities for guests to get more involved include a raffle draw and making a donation on the day or online at https://communitykeepers.org.
