It seems appropriate that we celebrate Khayamandi 75th Anniversary in a series of concerts, Umbiyozo (The celebration). We’d like to invite you to join us in celebrating this important milestone of our community in the way The MustardSeed knows best, through music, there will be food and wine! The word “umbiyozo” means “celebration” in the African language of isiXhosa. This show supposed to be happy and cheerful. The motivation to the celebration is the Khayamandi 75th Anniversary. We are celebrating the MustardSeed way, through songs and dance. The concerts are made up of 3 components; Music (variety), Food (Xhosa food) and wine (welcoming drinks).

These concerts aim to raise funds for Lokxion Foundation and The Living Arts Foundation (LAF). Lokxion foundation will receive 80% and LAF will receive 20% of the funds raised after deduction costs of the concerts.
Lokxion Foundation showcases and celebrates life in the townships surrounding Stellenbosch through Sport and Performing Arts. Our vision is to create opportunities to discover talent amongst township youth and to give them a platform to grow. We believe that through sport and the performing arts vulnerable young people are given essential life skills – self – confidence, leadership opportunities, respect for themselves and their peers, positive and healthy life choices and, ultimately, a sense of purpose.
The Living Arts Foundation (LAF) a NPC that’s vision is to uplift and connect the Stellenbosch community. Sisonke Social Circus is a project run under the umbrella of LAF and embodies what change we would like to see in our community. Integration, respect, growth and play!
